WHAT IS A COURTESY CHECK?
Orion Fire Systems has been known to provide courtesy checks of fire extinguishers in places of business. The courtesy check is a fantastic way for the businesses in our communities to get familiar with their fire and life safety equipment. It is a free, optional period of education for the business manager/owner on how to locate, operate, and properly maintain their fire extinguishers and remain up to compliance on an on-going basis. If service is needed, our technicians are capable of servicing the equipment for you (typically without a service charge).
WHY HAVE A COURTESY CHECK?
The government requires that places of business have fire extinguishers and have them maintained in a certain manner. Government officials do not perform the required maintenance. Typically, the local fire
authorities are just checking to make sure that a business has had their equipment properly maintained.
Most business owners/managers aren't thinking about their fire extinguisher 365 days a year, which is where Orion Fire Systems comes into play. A courtesy check provides the business owners with precise information to ensure they are up to compliance with the minimum standards.
